Il “ladro della sega elettrica” ha colpito in pieno giorno in quel di Bologna, con l’approvazione dell’autore dell’opera sottratta e dei visitatori presenti al “misfatto”
Non proprio silenzioso ed elegante come lo stile del famoso “Gatto” interpretato dal grande Cary Grant in “Caccia al ladro”, ma pur sempre eclatante, tanto da rubargli quasi la scena; e non solo per le “roboanti” modalità.
Il simpatico “manigoldo” che, utilizzando una motosega, ha prelevato sfacciatamente l’opera d’arte dal Museo MAMbo di Bologna, davanti agli occhi divertiti ed agli smartphone scalpitanti di staff e visitatori, in realtà ne ha infatti ricevuto pubblicamente il permesso dall’autore dell’opera stessa.
Effettivamente, è proprio l’artista bolognese Aldo Giannotti che ha accompagnato l’opera con in calce la scritta: “Questo disegno può essere prelevato gratuitamente da un collezionista che si presenta con una motosega e taglia un pezzo di muro”, donando così al lesto “furfante” che ne ha colto l’invito provocatorio delle precise istruzioni per compiere, con successo, la bizzarra impresa; ed ottenere così in dono l’opera stessa.
Considerando, poi, che il senso della mostra “Safe and Sound” è proprio quello di fare dei gesti che nella vita quotidiana sono vietati, il “mariolo” oltre all’opera d’arte ottiene anche l’onore di diventarne protagonista attivo.
Sembrerebbe che, qualche volta, il muoversi come un “elefante nella cristalleria” non produce guai ma lodi…!
“Safe and Sound”, la prima mostra antologica di Aldo Giannotti in un’istituzione italiana, si sofferma sui principi di sicurezza e protezione; considerandoli da diverse prospettive.

The Chainsaw “Theft”

An eccentric “thief” struck with a chainsaw around Bologna in broad daylight, but not before getting approval from both, the author of the stolen artwork and the amused witnesses.
Not exactly like “The Cat” performed by an elegant and stealthy Cary Grant in “To Catch a Thief”, definitely. However, notwithstanding its resounding manners, this strange “thief” had been impressive as well; thus even “grabbing the spotlight” for a while.
As a matter of fact, an unusual “thief” used quite cheekily a chainsaw to “steal” an artwork which had been drawn on a wall of the MAMbo Museum, in Bologna, thus being even wittnessed by both, staffs and visitors ready to film such a bizarre scene. Well, in fact, that nice “scoundrel” was just following the artist’s written instructions; as the Bolognese author Aldo Giannotti had claimed the following statement at the bottom of the drawing itself:“This drawing can be taken for free by the collector if they come with a chainsaw and saw the piece off the wall”.
Therefore, the quick-handed “rascal”seized promptly that challenging invitation, thus even getting the honour of becoming an active part of the artwork itself. After all, the aim of the artist’s exhibition called “Safe and Sound” was, exactly, doing something forbidden. Well, sometimes acting like a “bull in a china shop” might be worth a try, mightn’t it?
“Safe and Sound” by Aldo Giannotti, the artist’s first anthological exhibition in an Italian institution, contemplating notions of safety and security considered from different perspectives.
